Cochon Old Vine 2016 Rosé

It’s not everyday you find a rosé that is a blend of several different varietals. Well…I found one! This rose is 40% Cinsault, 30% Mourvedre, 20% Carignane, 10% Grenache. A very interesting blend indeed.

Adam Webb, winemaker and owner, has produced a lovely rosé of these Rhone varietals. I picked this gem up at his tasting room, located on Vine Alley, in downtown Sonoma. You can also get to the tasting room by way of First Street East.

The wine displays some stone fruit, grapefruit, and citrus aromas in the glass. On the palate I found strawberry, peach and citrus. Nice lingering finish. Nicely done, Adam.

If you get a chance to visit downtown Sonoma, stop in Cochon Tasting Bar and enjoy a glass of his rosé.
