2014 Protea Chenin Blanc

Have you ever tried to find a wine that knocked your socks off? I have been in search for a Chenin Blanc that I could really say “wow, this wine is great!”

Having gone through several bottles of various labels, I finally found one that I could actually sit and sip. I won’t say it knocked my socks off, but I will tell you the 2014 Protea is my favorite Chenin so far.

This wine is light and crisp. Enjoyable enough to just sit and sip while contemplating the long day I just had. Showing off in the glass, you will find pear, citrus, and slight honeysuckle.

To top it off, this is a beautiful bottle. I think I may just have to save it 😉

I am still in search of that dry Chenin Blanc to knock my socks off…any suggestions?

Cheers!

Cindy

So funny you mention finding / questing to find a great Chenin Blanc. I picked up Bart Hansen’s new CB (Clarksburg) at Sonoma’s Best a couple of weeks ago. 100 cases. It did impress me in ways most CB’s never do. I will be buying more…
