It’s always fun getting together with friends you haven’t seen for a while. Being invited to dinner is even better. 😉 It was a great evening catching up with Karen and John Troisi. We have been friends for some time now. They live in New Jersey and just bought another place in Napa. They are finding that they are flying out to Napa about every 6-8 weeks. It will be good to see them on a regular basis now….They are the owners/vintners of Jean Edwards Cellars.

The dinner was great and the company was wonderful. And, of course, the wines were awesome…the Jean Edwards 2010 Napa Cabernet “Seventy-four Forty-one” went great with the steak filet Karen made for us.

Jean Edwards Cellars 2010 CabernetThis Cabernet has a very dark nose. Layers of blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry up front with a slight tobacco note and dried herbs in the background. On the palate you will find layers of dark fruit, spice, and a nice balance of spicy oak and acidity. Long finish.

If you are a Cab lover – you will definitely like this one.

Cheers

So, pour yourself a glass, let it swirl and breathe, and join me on this voyage through “Direct to Press.” Together, we’ll unlock the mysteries and pleasures found within each bottle, one sip at a time.
